At least 51 people — including seven children at an elementary school — were killed when a massive tornado that struck just outside Monday. According to CNN, Seven children were killed at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma. Emergency rescue teams were seen scouring the rubble Monday evening. The tornado was estimated to be at least 2 miles wide at one point as it moved through the southern part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, KFOR reported. Children’s Sports and Fitness Camp
KUC Sports & Fitness Camp. July 29th-August 2nd, 2013 @ West Angeles Youth Center, from 9AM-4:30PM daily. The purpose of the camp is to encourage physical and social interactive skills in our children. Camp cost $100, per child, for the week, which includes. snacks, lunch and local field trips. We offer a 6 (six) week evening academic prep course beginning June 17th until July 26th for grade levels 6-12th. Classes range from Pre-Algebra – AP Calculus, Chemistry – Physics and Writing classes (including a college admission preparation class). College and enrichment tours are also a part of the curriculum. There are special discounts for multiple students or classes taken, and all who apply before June 7th will have the registration fee waived. Classes fill up quickly! So don’t delay, apply today!! The intersection of Jefferson Boulevard and Crenshaw Boulevard could become ‘Bishop Charles E. Blake Square’. In honor of Bishop Charles E. Mother’s Day weekend thousands of women joined First Lady Mae Blake for “A Day in May.” There have been resounding accolades about the success of this event.
